Our 2023 Field Trip will cover the failed Allied campaign to seize the Rhine bridges in Holland in September 1944. This will not only take in the British operations at Arnhem but the less well covered US Airborne landings at Eindhoven and Nijmegen (pictured).

About the Event
Price £635 pp sharing a room. Single supplement £125. Based upon minimum number of 15 persons.
Price includes return Eurostar travel London to Brussels, coach travel in Belgium and Holland, three nights bed and breakfast, and souvenir map book. Lunches and evening meals are not included. It will also be possible to meet the group at Brussels, please enquire for details.
A connection with the American Civil War: after WW1 the 101st Division was assigned to the Organized Reserve in Wisconsin. Its leaders learned that the 8th Wisconsin Volunteers carried "Old Abe", an eagle, into combat during the Civil War. The division adopted the eagle on its flash to show its regional link to the past.
